Mylar Balloons – The Safe Choice

Want your next event to really POP?! Consider Mylar balloons! They are the safer choice with a longer float time and less work compared to latex balloons.

Mylar balloons (also known as foil balloons) are available in so many different shapes, sizes, themes, and colors. Shop our website for a variety of stock options or call for custom options. They can float much longer then latex, up to a week or two! You can even refill them if needed, and reuse them! Who knew that?? Ever tried reusing a latex balloon? Even a superhero can’t do that!

Since Mylar holds helium longer, you can decorate further in advance than you can with latex balloons. Mylar balloons are self-sealing, so there is no need for tying the bottom off like you must do with the latex, so it’s less work!1_MYR_product_image

The metallic shine is a great element because it will make your logo stand out that much more! They are made of nylon sheets coated with polyethylene and metallic materials that have been heat-sealed together. The finished product is a lightweight, airtight balloon. Unlike latex balloons that must be inflated to print on, Mylar balloons do not stretch or expand, when inflated, so printers can easily print on the flat surface. Using Mylar balloons, you can have more confidence in knowing your logo will not be distorted when it is blown up.

The most important factor to consider when buying balloons is product safety. As superheroes, our mission is to keep mortals safe from harm! We want to make sure  whoever comes in contact with the balloon is not at any risk. Did you know latex balloons are harmful?  Latex balloons are the leading cause of suffocation deaths of all children’s products, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Most are under the age of six! Mylar balloons, considered less of a choking hazard, are easier to inflate then latex balloons so they are Screen Shot 2013-07-16 at 2.12.26 PMless likely to be sucked in. They also do not tend to break into small pieces that can be ingested; they are not as pliable and do not conform to the trachea like latex does.

Less Work + More Safe + Better Imprint + Longer Float Time = No Brainer! So, next time you are buying balloons, think Mylar Balloons!
